Privacy

This site collects an email address if you give one, and an order if you place one.

Signup forms and the store are the only mechanisms here that gather information about you. Page views are counted on our own server, without cookies or identifiers. No advertising, and no third-party trackers.

What is collected

Your email address if you sign up, and your order if you buy.

Three forms on this site accept an email address: the restoration updates signup, the visit interest list, and the store opening notice. Each is a separate list, and joining one does not join you to the others. The forms request nothing else — no name, no telephone number, no postal address, and no payment details.

Each form contains a hidden field that people never see and that automated submissions typically complete. Where it is returned completed, the submission is discarded and nothing about it is stored.

If you buy from the store, Stripe collects your payment details on its own page; we never see your card. Stripe passes us your name, email address and shipping address so the order can be posted, and we keep those with the order. Your cart is remembered in your own browser's storage until you check out or clear it — it never leaves your device.

Our server also keeps a count of page views. Each count records which page was viewed, the hour, the website a visitor arrived from (its domain only, never the page), the country, whether the device was a phone, tablet or computer, and any campaign tag that was on the link. Nothing in that record identifies you: no IP address, no browser details, no cookie and no identifier of any kind are kept, and a count cannot be connected to a signup or an order. It runs on our server, not in your browser, and it is used only to learn which pages and which channels people find useful.

How it is used

Only the purposes you requested.

Your address is added to the corresponding mailing list so that you receive what that list sends: occasional station and restoration updates, or notice of visit dates once they are set. The store-opening list closed on 2 September 2026 when the store opened: its one announcement went out that day, and, as that announcement disclosed, the people on it were folded into the station updates list with an unsubscribe link in every message. A notification is also sent to the station inbox so that a member of the team is aware of the registration, with the reply address set to yours, so that any reply reaches you directly.

No confirmation message is sent to you. A public form that emails whatever address is entered into it can be directed at someone who never requested it, so mail arising from a signup is sent only to the station.

Where it is held

Resend, in the United States.

Mailing lists and message delivery are operated through Resend, an email service provider based in the United States. Your address is stored there, in the audience you joined, and is used to deliver mail from this station. Signups are also recorded in the station's own records system, a database hosted in the United States, so the station knows who has asked to hear from it; the store-opening list was held there until the store opened on 2 September 2026. The site itself is hosted on Vercel, which — as any web host does — retains standard server logs of requests, including IP addresses and browser user-agent strings, as part of operating the service.

Typefaces are self-hosted and served from this site's own domain, so loading a page here does not issue a request to a font provider on your behalf.

Orders are recorded in the station's own records system, hosted in the United States, and in Stripe. Order records are retained for seven years as accounting records. The shipping address is redacted from the order record one year after delivery; the raw payment notices Stripe sends the station, which also carry the address, are part of the accounting record and are kept with it for the seven years.

What is never done

Your address is not sold, rented, or given to advertisers.

It is not sold, rented, traded, or shared with third parties for advertising or any other marketing purpose. There are no advertising pixels, no social media trackers, no third-party analytics scripts and no behavioural profiling on this site. The page count described above is the only measurement, and it runs on our server, not in your browser. No cookies are set by this site. The cart uses local storage, which is not sent to any server.

Disclosure will be made only where the law requires it.

Leaving a list

Unsubscribe at any time, or ask for your address to be deleted.

Every message sent to a list carries an unsubscribe link, and using it takes effect without anyone having to approve it. You may also write to the station inbox and ask to be removed from any list or all of them, and to have your address deleted rather than merely suppressed. It will be done, and you will be told once it is.

No explanation is required.

Children

This site is not directed at children.

Nothing here is aimed at children under 13, and their information is not knowingly collected. If you believe a child has provided an address, please write to the station inbox and it will be deleted.

Requests about your information

Write to station@fpsls.com. You may ask what is held, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. No explanation is required.

This policy describes how the site behaves as built. It will be revised when the site's behaviour changes, and the date above will move with it.
