Trips to the station.

These are the trips on the calendar. Each is two nights on the open Atlantic, thirty-two miles out, in the quarters where Coast Guard crews once lived. What visitors pay goes to the restoration.

Friday to Sunday · Two nights aboard · Crossing by boat

Out on Friday, back on Sunday. Two nights in the station's quarters, thirty-two miles offshore, with a station host aboard from departure to return. The crossing is by boat with one of the station's approved charter captains. The first visitor trip of the autumn.

$2,000per person

A $500 booking fee per person holds a place. The balance of $1,500 is drawn October 11.

Halloween on the station

Friday to Sunday · Two nights aboard · Crossing by boat

Out on Friday, back on Sunday, with Halloween night spent on the station. Two nights in the station's quarters, thirty-two miles offshore, with a station host aboard from departure to return. The crossing is by boat with one of the station's approved charter captains.

$2,000per person

A $500 booking fee per person holds a place. The balance of $1,500 is drawn October 25.

  • The crossing out and back with one of the station's approved charter captains
  • Two nights in the station's quarters
  • Meals aboard for the whole stay
  • A station host aboard from departure to return
  • Fishing from the deck and the run of the structure

How booking works

Four steps.

  1. Choose a trip

    Pick a trip above and say how many places you need.

  2. Pay the booking fee

    The booking fee holds your places. It is paid on a secure payment page, by card or, where that page offers it, from a US bank account.

  3. Do the paperwork

    Each person in your party is emailed their own link to the Station Portal, where they complete their details and sign the waiver. We ask that everyone signs by the balance date.

  4. The balance

    The balance is drawn automatically from the same card or bank account, five days before departure. A reminder is sent first.

The terms, in plain words

Before you pay.

Booking fee
The booking fee is part of the price, not added to it. It is not refundable if you cancel.
One booking, one bill
The person who books is booking for the whole party and is billed for the booking fee and the balance. Friends who would rather pay separately each make their own booking on the same trip.
Balance
The balance is drawn automatically from the card or bank account used at booking, five days before departure. A reminder is sent first.
If the balance cannot be collected
The station writes to you. If the balance is still unpaid 48 hours later, the places are released and the booking fee is kept.
Payment
Payment is taken on Stripe's secure page, by card or, where that page offers it, from a US bank account.
Weather
If the station cancels a trip for weather or sea state, what you have paid, including the booking fee, is held as credit toward another trip.
A trip withdrawn
If the station withdraws a trip for any other reason, what you have paid is returned in full.
Boarding
Boarding is a transfer in open water onto a fixed structure, then ladders and steep stairs. There is no elevator and no accessible route.
Waiver
Every person aboard signs the station's waiver. We ask for it five days before departure. A person who has not signed does not board.
Changing who comes
The person who booked may replace someone in their party until five days before departure, by writing to the station.
